Crisp & Dene have been designed and manufacturing hard wearing utility linens for use with range cookers for a long time.  They have used their knowledge to develop a simple cloth that is designed to stand up to cooking on a range cooker.

This heavy weight unbleached 100% cotton herringbone weave cloth comes direct from the weavers loom in its natural untreated state.

The cloth is designed to change shape naturally shrinking when first washed. The fibres in this thick cloth swell with the first wash making it softer and thicker.

This simple multi functional kitchen cloth will work as an oven cloth, hob cover, tea towel or hand towel.

The cloths are woven in the Punjab by skilled craftsmen using traditional looms developed in the 19th century textile boom for British weavers in the north of England. 

We have been very careful to select textile manufacturing processes that use limited chemical finishing and shrinking processes, the natural nature of the cloth means it does exactly what is needed without any unnecessary design details, it’s tougher and harder working than most cloths.
