The chef pad is made like the original classic chefs pads for Agas and constructed of two layers of black towelling, making it flexible so can be folded and used as a pot grab too! 
It is a hardwearing chefs pad ideal for all Aga owners for the day to day use when cooking. 
Black towelling on both sides will hide all manner of spills and scorches!

  • All natural fibres products will shrink slightly when washed. However, washing our cotton textiles at excessively hot temperatures will cause more shrinkage than usual due to the towelling/fabric differences. 
  • For our Chef pads that have a hanging loop we don't advise leaving your chef pads unattended on hot lids for prolonged periods of time.

We are disappointed. We did not realise the thermal insulation - an important property - was simply not there. The product looks fine but doesn’t do what we expected.

Thanks for taking the time to review. Unfortunately you did choose the wrong product. The classic chef pads are made in the original way which is 2 layers of towelling only allowing them to be flexible.

Really like these hob covers. Being a towelling on both sides means they are interchangable and great for drying small utensils. Very well made and a great price.
